This week is Rotation and locomotion week for all the kindergym and gymstar kids.  Our Kindergym kids will do all sorts of rolling and turning skills including jump turns, forward rolls, log rolls, turns on bars, beams and trampolines!

Our Gymstar kids will also be working on lots of turning skills with a major focus on cartwheels this week.  We will continue with our testing and skill development this week with the focus being on swinging and bar skills including - regrip swings, casts, beat swings, front support, forward rolls and pullovers.

A reminder to all Junior and Intermediate performance team members that notes for those coming to the "Annie" show at QPAC on May 13th are due in by this Friday.  Even if you are not attending please return your note by this friday or send us an email to let us know so we are not holding your spot.  I have managed to purchase a few more tickets so all parents and siblings who have put their names down to attend will be welcome.

Bronze and Silver gymnasts will have their block 1 skill testing next week.  This week we will be practicing all skills required for the testing to help the gymnasts prepare.  The testing allows us to ensure that all gymnasts are in the best possible class to ensure they can be challenged and experience success.

WAG Levels gymnasts will be working hard on developing their strength and skills this week with the focus being on floor and bars.

Our leg lifts challenge is getting closer to finishing and the kids have set some amazing records so far.  The challenge is to do as many leg lifts as possible in 30 seconds.  The current records are as follows.  Bronze (tuck leg lifts) - Brooke F with 34.  Silver (horizontal) - Isabelle C with 26, WAG Levels (Horizontal) - Jade A with 27, MAG Levels (horizontal) - Oscar B with 26.  Advanced WAG (45 degree's above horizontal) - Jessica R with 22, Pre team (45 degree's above horizontal) - Rachel U with 20.  The challenge will conclude on Wednesday February 29th, details of our March challenge are coming soon.
