| Wow! What an amazing year 2011 has been!!! Looking back on the year there have been so many amazing achievements and successes in all areas of the club. Success has come in many different sizes from the youngest kids taking their first steps on the beam to our most senior kids winning international performance titles! Classes for 2011 will continue through to Saturday December 17th, we have lots of exciting classes planned for the next few weeks to ensure we have a great finish to a great year!! Classes for 2012 will kick start from Monday January 9th, attached to this newsletter is a booking form for 2012, please return the form as soon as possible to ensure you get your preferred days for classes next year as classes do fill up very quickly. In 2011 many classes had a waiting list of 2-3 months. We will be offering Vacation care on 6 days during the school holidays. - Tuesday Dec 13th, Thursday Dec 15th, Tuesday Jan 10th, Thursday Jan 12th, Tuesday Jan 17th and Thursday Jan 19th. Vacation care is available from 8:30-5:00PM for primary school aged children at a cost of $38 per day. Our program is only open to current members of Club Dynamite. Display Afternoon Sunday November 20th was a truly magical day for Club Dynamite, as it was our Annual Display Afternoon. Over 420 gymnasts from our Kindergym tiny tots to our senior gymnasts and performance teams showed off their skills and routines to a great crowd. For the first time this year we offered 3 shows instead of 2, and with a full house for all three shows a great time was had by all. Classes 2011 has seen the introduction of our new bronze and silver program, allowing us to cater to the over 10's in a way that encourages achievement in a safe, practical and exciting manner. There will be a gold and platinum class commenced during 2012, this will allow us to cater for all ability levels from absolute beginners to advanced level gymnastics. We have completed the flow chart showing all the class transitions and will display it on the web-site and on the notice board. Full class descriptions and entry and exit requirements will be available shortly. Gymstar Our Gymstar kids will be awarded their star certificates this week. The certificates show a list of all the skills we are aiming for the kids to master in the gymstar program with a star in the box for every skill achieved. The skills are marked progressively throughout the block; gymnasts will need to have been present for at least 7 weeks to receive a certificate. I have been very pleased with the results of all the kids, it has been great to see some of the more difficult skills mastered. Strength challenges October and November has seen the introduction of different strength challenges for the whole club, this has really helped to keep the kids excited about working hard on developing their strength. October was our chin challenge month -congratulations to our division winners - Annie S, Eloise T, Georgia T, Millie W, Jacobie T, Nicholas A, Jarrod H and Lisa H. With our overall chin up champion being Ryan R from the MAG squad doing 50 consecutive chin ups. Winners for the November Handstand walking competition will be announced on December 1st! Splits club Many of you will have now seen our splits hall of fame, October saw the introduction of the Club Dynamite splits club which now has over 80 members! As a gymnast achieves a flat split their photo is added to the wall. It has been great to see lots of kids working hard to improve their flexibility. Congratulations To all our levels gymnast's for a great effort in the latest round of testing and in particular the squad level 4 girls that all passed at the Mitchelton Youth Club sanctioned competition last month.
