Wow, what an incredible weekend we have had at the Ipswich Performers festival. The 2025 festival was held at the Ipswich Civic Centre on August 9th and 10th. All 5 of our Performance Teams competed in the event, winning 4 of the 5 age groups and a special overall recognition award!
We began with our Intermediate and Mini Performance Teams competing on Saturday morning. Both groups nailed their performances, putting on an incredible show and both groups won their age divisions.
Our Mini Performance Team entered 2 routines in the 8 years and under Acrobatics age division and took both 1st place and 2nd place in the section.
Our Intermediates won 1st place in the 12 years and under Acrobatics division, with their routine "I lived" and also 3rd place for their 2nd routine "Wicked".
After a quick break for lunch we were back for our Seniors to compete in the afternoon.
The Senior age groups are always tough but our Senior rose to the challenge, winning 1st place in the open age Acrobatics division, with their Queen routine, and taking the Very Highly Commended award for their "My immortal" routine. Despoute having to make last minute changes to both routines!
We were back very early Sunday morning for our adorable Sparkles to compete in the 6 yrs & under age division. The Sparkles were super excited to get back on stage, and competed against all styles of performance and were awarded 2nd place for their routine!
Sunday afternoon it was time for our Junior Performance Team to contest the 10 years and under age group. They had a bit of a longer wait than expected, but made the most of it with lots of dressing room games with the other teams. But when it came time to hit the stage, they really shone.
The Junior Team won 1st place in the 10 years and under any style section with their routines "A Million Dreams" and took the Very Highly Commended award for their "Bratz" routine.
In very exciting news, our Junior Performance Team were presented with a special award on stage, by the adjudicator. They were awarded the most promising group out of all the 10 years and under age groups in all the divisions!
